An Advocate First

Annmarie has lived in Lafayette for 10 years. She has served on the Livable Lafayette Advisory Board, the Planning Commission, the East Lafayette Advisory Committee (oversight of the planning for Willoughby Corner), and the Zoning and Land Use Code Committee.

A public policy advocate for over 40 years, Annmarie most recently served as the Executive Director of the East County Housing Opportunity Coalition and as a leader with Together Colorado. Prior to that, she spent 30+ years as a public interest advocate at the Colorado Capitol.

Annmarie is running for City Council to help Lafayette achieve its greenhouse gas reduction goals, create a livable community with housing for all, and support an economy that provides jobs, opportunity, and equity, especially for those who are often marginalized.

She’s committed to preserving what makes Lafayette special while helping shape a future that protects the rights of our diverse community. This includes expanding transit options and promoting bike- and pedestrian-friendly design to reduce vehicle miles traveled. Our candidate supports outdoor spaces and public lands that are protected and well-stewarded.

In her spare time, Annmarie enjoys attending bluegrass festivals, playing music, and walking regularly with her dog at Waneka Lake. She's the proud mother of two grown sons and 3 grandchildren.
